Palmco, the company, also owns and operates New Zealand’s largest Palm nursery based in Kerikeri, Bay of Islands. We specialise in the transplanting of palm trees and can supply more varieties and grades than any other supplier nationwide. Obviously we just love using palms in any landscaping projects and our customers get the benefit of very competitive direct from the nursery prices. But our real speciality is turning your vision for your project into reality whatever the style or theme. From classical English formal gardens to large commercial re-vegetation projects we plant and supply a wide variety of exotics and native plants from New Zealand’s best nurseries and specialist growers.

The Palmco process
What happens when you ask Palmco for advice on your landscaping project?
  • After contacting us on our free phone 0800 244 7256, email (click here) or calling into one of our offices one of our professional team will contact you to arrange an initial consultation to discuss the scope of your project.
  • Following your initial briefing our team will provide you with an offer of service outlining the scope of the project as briefed by you and the rates and charges that will apply as the project progresses.
  • After your initial budget is discussed and agreed, a concept plan is developed to confirm the style and scope of what is required before the details of your project are determined.
  • Once the concept is approved we move on to developing a detailed design including construction and planting plans for your project (click here for example). These can be rendered in full colour 3D detail if required so you can visualise the finished product before we place a spade in the ground.
  • On approval of the final design and plan we produce a project critical path and advise the timeframes for start and completion of the project. This project critical path will become the basis of our progress reports to you with respect to the value and extent of work completed against your plan and quotation, we also agree and detail any variations to the plan for your approval at every stage of the project to ensure your budget and timeline can be monitored at all times. At this stage you will be introduced to your project team leader who will be responsible for the smooth running and client communication during the project (Click here for our staff directory).
  • Work will then begin and progress reports provided as the job progresses through significant milestones or at moments in the timeline critical to the projects.
  • Our Team Leader and Project Manager will present the finished project for your review and final signoff.
  • Where appropriate or as part of our contract, Palmco Maintenance will visit your project during the prescribed period to ensure plant health and to conduct any routine maintenance required following the project’s completion.

Native Re-vegetation

With the development of costal properties Palmco is ideally suited for large scale re-vegetation projects around the Far North. We offer a free consultation and can design and implement large scale projects. As part of the diverse landscaping team we have members of staff who have overseen large scale native plantings on some of the most prestigious properties in the Far North. Solid relationships with other nurseries mean that we can arrange for the supply of these plants at very cost effective prices.
